For your own security we advice you to carefully read ALL the red text on this page : ) Installing Windows 0.0. Select your preferences and click Next. 0.1. Click Install now. 0.2. Click "I don't have a product key" 0.3. Select your preferred Windows verison (We recommend Windows 10 Pro or Pro N) and click Next. 0.4. Tick "I accept the license terms" and click Next. 0.5. Click "Custom: Insall Windows only (advanced)" 0.6. Select the drive you want to install Windows on and click Next. 0.7. Wait for the installation to finish. 0.8. Download the Windows Media Creation Tool. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10 0.1. Open the MediaCreationTool*.exe 0.2. Accept the license terms 0.3. Select "Create isntallation media (SUB flash drive, DVD, or ISO file) for another PC Click Next 0.4. Select the options you need (All of our products only work with Windows 10 64-bit) Click Next 0.5. Select "ISO file" Click Next 0.6. Select a folder you want to save it to and click "Save" 0.7. Wait for the download to be completed. 0.8. Hardware Game device (Your main Gaming PC) Needs to be Windows 10 1909 or later. Radar device (Second PC/Laptop or VPS) Needs to be at least 2Cores and 4GB RAM. Second PC needs to be Windows 10 1909 or later. VPS needs to be Windows Server 2019 1809 or later. If you successfully finished this Video Guide you can proceed with the Radar Setup Guide. Text Guide If you already successfully finished the Video Guide then you are done with this guide and can continue with the Radar Setup. ON RADAR PC 1.1. Install the Softether VPN Server by just clicking next and next until it is installed. 1.2. Double click localhost, enter any password (we recommend that you write it down as you might need it in the future). 1.3. Tick the first setting “Remote Access VPN Server” -> click next 1.4. Click next, then yes, enter "VPN" as virtual hub name and click OK. 1.5. Exit out of the Dynamic DNS Function Window without changing any settings. 1.6. Tick the first option “Enable L2TP Server Function (L2TP over IPsec), you can also change the IPsec Pre-Shared Key here or leave it at default "vpn" -- you will need it later -> click OK. 1.7. Disable VPN Azure -> click OK 1.8. Click “Create Users” Enter a username and a password (They don't really need to be secure.. But it doesn't hurt to make them secure) Click OK. 1.9. Click Exit in the “Manage Users” window, then click Close. 1.10. Double click on the connection you created. 1.11. Then you click “Virtual NAT and Virtual DHCP Server (SecureNAT) at the bottom right Click Enable SecureNat Click OK Click Exit Click Exit ON GAMING PC 2.1. Press Win + X Select "Network Connections" 2.2. Go to “VPN” on left side. 2.3. Click “Add a VPN Connection” on the top. VPN Provider: Windows (built-in) Connection name: Whatever you want to use. Server name or address: Run ipconfig in cmd on the Radar-PC and look for the IPv4. VPN type: L2TP/IPsec with pre-shared key. Pre-shared key: Insert the Pre-shared key you entered earlier or use the default value "vpn". User name: User Name you created in Softether on Radar-PC. Password: User password you set in Softether on Radar-PC. Click Save. 2.4. Click the Connection Icon on the right side of your Taskbar and connect to the vpn you just created. 2.5. After successfully connecting your VPN make sure that you still have a working internet connection on both PCs. You are done with the Hyprid-VPN setup. If you successfully finished this Text Guide you can proceed with the Radar Setup Guide. Troubleshooting / Testing Functionality Testing Functionality Method 1: If your VPN has the status "Connected" and you have working internet on your Gaming-PC your VPN is working correctly. Method 2: On the Radar-PC open your "Softether VPNServer Manager" and double click your profile While you are connected your Virtual Hub will show two Sessions instead of one! Please try the troubleshooting steps if you can't connect to your VPN or you lose your internet connection when it says "Connected". Troubleshooting Connections Issues Open Ports UDP 500 AND UDP 4500 in the firewall of your Radar-PC. Make sure that Secure NAT is enabled. Make sure that you entered the correct ip address in you vpn connection profile. "the L2TP connection attempt failed because the security layer encountered a processing error" You can try these fixes. If these troubleshooting steps don't fix your connection issue we can help you in a ticket on our discord server! Feel free to open a ticket in our discord if you require assistance with this setup! If you are doing this for the first time a message box will appear asking if you want to create a Virtual Network Adapter Click Yes. Leave the Default name "VPN" and click OK. Click Add VPN connection again if you don't get the window from the picture below. 2.4. Fill everything out Host Name: You need enter the IP of your Radar-PC. It has to look similar to your Gaming-PC IP. To check the IPv4 address of the Radar-PC open CMD on Radar-PC and type ipconfig. -> Make sure that "VPN" automatically shows up in "Virtual Hub Name" Port Number: Usually you can leave it at 443 but you can also use 992, 1194 and 5555. User Name: User Name you created in Softether on Radar-PC. Password: User password you set in Softether on Radar-PC. Click OK. 2.5. Now you can either right click and connect to your vpn or simply double click on the new connection and it should connect without any issues. You are done with the Softether-VPN setup. If you successfully finished this Text Guide you can proceed with the Radar Setup Guide. Radar device (Second PC/Laptop) Second PC needs to be Windows 10 1909 or later. This connection method will not work with VPS! Managed Network Switch Needs to support Port Mirroring. We recommend the TP-Link TL-SG105E. Text Guide ON ANY PC 1.1. Download Easy Smart Configuration Utility and install it. 1.2. Plug the cable to your router into switchport 1 -- Gaming-PC into switchport 2 -- Radar-PC into switchport 3. 1.3. Open Easy Smart Configuration Utility. If everything is plugged in correctly you will see this: 1.4. Click on Login and enter your login information. -> Default usually is admin / admin 1.5. Change everything like shown below 1.6. Reboot the Switch. 1.7. Start the C_Solution launcher on the Radar-PC -> login -> start Tarkov Radar -> Go to Device Manager in the UAV -> tick "Legacy Mode" -> tick "Port Mirror". You are done with the Port Mirroring setup. If you successfully finished this Text Guide you can proceed with the Radar Setup Guide. Check what the network adapters you want to use are called I write down "Ethernet 7" since that is the ethernet Interface that my Gaming-PC is connected to. I go to properties of the "Wi-Fi" interface since that is the interface my Radar-PC is connected to the internet with. 1.5. Switch to the "Sharing" tab Tick "Allow other network users to connect through this computer's Internet connection". Select the interface you wrote down before. Untick "Allow other network users to control or disable the shared Internet connection" 1.6. Start the C_Solution launcher on the Radar-PC -> login -> start Tarkov Radar -> Go to Device Manager in the UAV -> tick "Legacy Mode". You are done with the ICS setup.
