1. Make sure you do not have one of the following Windows updates installed

  • Open powershell and run the command get-hotfix KB5028166,  KB5028185
    • If it does not find it then you can continue to step 2.
    • If it does find one then run this command with the correct KB number to uninstall it: 
      wusa /uninstall /kb:5028166
      wusa /uninstall /kb:5028185
      Only reboot after blocking Windows updates from the next step!
      If this update installs again after uninstalling it you will not be able to remove it anymore!
       

2. Block Windows updates using WindowsUpdateBlocker.
