So with both the DMA card offered here, and Raptor DMA being out of stock are there any other options?

I assume custom firmware is something that is highly encouraged for ban prevention. How important is this really? And is it something I could feasibly do myself with limited expertise?

Just for context, I have a background in technology, but this is not really my area. So I'm comfortable but would probably need to find a guide of some sort. I have some amateur experience reverse engineering firmware among other things, but I imagine this isn't really the same. I also have some "low-level" programming experience (C, ASM), but not kernel or hardware level and not with Windows.

yes custom fw prevent you from a fw detection.  I saw some ppl self writing his own firmware, but they got banned, their own falt, seems like not recommended.

Fantastic, thanks. How long have you been on VIP+? What's the ban rate/history like for it?

I might buy a screamer+jtag and buy the custom firmware from clutch.
