When I try to make a lifetime payment, an error pops up and the payment doesn't go through.

please ask your bank, as alternative you should enable 3D secure at the card. After that you will be able to use the second card payment method at our checkout. It doesn't seem to be a bank issue since I was able to purchase other products, but I can't purchase the lifetime plan.

If all security measures are enabled on the card like 3D secure, SMS conformation, in banking app conformation, you aren't using VPN, you are using correct details from card when making purchase - and you still can't purchase the goods, that means that payment processor can't accept that payment from you. Maybe they mark you as high risk of chargeback and they deny automatically the purchase.

 

You can try purchasing it via alternative method like Uwe said, using reseller.
