Is ethernet required for both pcs?

Hi there! 

I am looking to purchase both the EFT Lag switch AND the EFT radar with vip+. I am going to be using my laptop as the second PC though I am wondering will I need to hook up the laptop to ethernet? (My main pc is already on ethernet by the way) I assume I will need ethernet on the laptop for lag switch but will it be required for the ESP?

wired is always better, but wifi works also

if you want to play with wifi -> you can, there is no issue, but you know, it's better to connect your laptop with the ethernet
