DMa on External Pci-E

Hi,
I am thinking of changing my desktop PC for a laptop with USB4 connection (thunderbolt 3) Is it possible and advisable to use the DMA card in a pci connection that uses this port?

Dma won't work over thunderbolt.

some users have used their laptop with an m.2 extension to run it off of. But not thunderbolt

Thanks a million, I will do so. I will look for a M2 to pcie adapter!!! If anyone knows of a device it would help me a lot.   I start my search hehehehe.

We don't really have a specific recommendation, but as long as you get a decent quality one it shouldn't be an issue
