Difference between DMA and Screamer?

Looking to get the hardware solution for EFT. 

Other than the obvious fact that they are two different pieces or hardware, what are the differences between DMA and Screamer?

Is one “safer” than the other?

DMA = Direct Memory Access

generally it's called DMA Hardware, but the company lambdaconcept just named it screamer.
