I have a "Direct Memory Access Controller" in my Device Manager, is this my DMA device?

 

No.  This is just a default "device" and manages the data transfer between your memory and the various devices that need to access it. Its a default process by your PC. Since the DMA controller is handling the data transfer, the CPU is free to perform other tasks while the transfer is taking place. This can significantly improve the system's overall performance, as the CPU is not tied up with data transfer tasks.

dma card on laptop is very unconventional and we can't help you with that.
It is possible if you have a laptop that has a free nvme m.2 slot. But you need to run an extension from that to a pcie x1 adapter where you can plug in the card and the laptop needs to stay opened up all the time.

Definitely not a preferred or practical method.

Which version of pcileech do we flash on our boards?

 

We flash pcileech-fpga version 4.14 on our 35t boards. There is a 4.15 version but this is only updated for another dma-board-brand with a 100t chip.

A fuser combines 2 display signals into one display or you can switch between both signals.

What's the difference between KMBox NET and KMBox B+ Pro? 

 

The KMBox NET is newer and communicates over the network. It has less input lag and operates at a higher polling rate. With the KMBox B+ Pro, you can edit everything via a .py file (such as your polling rate, VID, and PID), and it does not communicate over the network. It is also more widely supported among DMA usage. The KMBox NET performs slightly better but offers fewer customization options, while the KMBox B+ Pro is easier to modify.

I heard that some dma cheats besides reading memory also write it and this can be a detection vector...

 

What does it look like in this case?

Well as you're saying, dma cards can read memory as well as write to it.

Reading from memory is with current known technologies not detectable. However, the firmware itself can still be detected if it's bad or outdated.

Writing to memory is less safe. It all depends on what values the anti cheat checks for manipulation.

A very simple example: Let's say you're at 10hp and we force change the value from 10 to 100. Obviously the anticheat is going to see that this can not realistically work. That's why usually for features like this the cheats go in slow steps that are realistically achieveable in the game.

Im interested how it looks in case of FPS games, DF for example, when you using ESP, AB...   do we need to write something in those two cases?  ESP is just player location in short and aimboot's autoaim is doing by kmb (if im not wrong). ..  so its kinda safe???

Things that directly affect the game are memory writing. Aimbot, recoil control, bhop, whatever it is. As long as it's done over dma then it's memory writing.
ESP, Radar and other visual features only need to take information from the game and not change the game/mouse/...
Since they only need to read information and not manipulate it it's safe. As soon as it starts manipulating something it's usually still safe, just not as much.

Since KMBox does not directly interfere with the system like DMA or injection methods do it is also safe, as long as you don't use crazy settings that just snap to the head etc. KMBox just takes commands from the cheat and uses them to simulate real mouse and keyboard inputs. Which looks just like it would if you are controlling it over mouse.
